Beautiful location perfect for heading to a huge chunk of distilleries on the Bourbon Trail. The home has everything you need and the hosts were very responsive when we needed... read more anything. Lots of pantry staples in the kitchen, as well as a dozen farm fresh eggs. Love that touch! We will be returning to continue our journey maybe next fall! Highly recommend this sweet cottage.

It’s was a... read more great location between Lexington/Louisville/Bardstown. Everything was about 35-45 minutes. We even drove to mammoth caves for a day and that was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It was nice to do day trips but come back and relax at night! Place is exactly as described/shown in pictures. Very clean and we had everything we needed! Judith was a great host! Communicated well and was very prompt if we needed anything! I would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful romantic getaway!

Great place to stay if you are looking for some peace and quiet! We went on morning walks with our dog who had a great time exploring the property. It... read more is (as stated in the listing) in the middle of nowhere, so it helps to come prepared with groceries for home cooked meals. Everything was cozy, clean, and in good condition. My only issue was when we arrived, there was a very strong cleaning product smell which most people love, I’m just weird and have a bit of a sensitivity to strong smells. But it was nothing some fresh air couldn’t fix! Also, if you are bringing a pet, be sure to read the care instructions beforehand. We made the mistake of not doing so and failed to bring a crate, but we just ended up bringing him out on our adventures with us and Judith offers other options for your pet as well.

We spent a lot of time on the beautiful outdoor patio with gorgeous views of nature and the farm. Hummingbirds abounded, with feeders just feet away. Cooked out on the grill a couple nights, just perfect. The hosts were wonderful, helpful, and very friendly if you sought them out. They are our new friends, got along fabulously. We are looking forward to staying there again for sure.

Judith provided dinner recommendations, brought us wood to build a fire, and made sure we were comfortable. It was a perfect, kid-free weekend.
